JOB SUMMARY 

The Sales Development Representative’s focus is on generating leads to find new business opportunities. In this role, your tasks will include researching and finding potential accounts, reaching out to the right people within those accounts, setting up meetings, and having introductory calls to confirm opportunities. You’ll also be responsible for making sales calls, developing business, meeting with clients, and showcasing the product. All interactions with potential clients, whether over the phone or in person, should be professional and geared towards building lasting relationships and providing qualified leads for the Inside Sales team. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Generation and Development: Identify and nurture potential leads, working closely with prospects to schedule technical demonstrations and create new business opportunities for the Inside Sales team to finalize. 
  • Booking Technical Demos and Opportunity Generation: Collaborate with prospects to arrange technical demos, paving the way for fresh business prospects that the Inside Sales team can convert into sales 
  • Maintaining Sales Pipeline in NetSuite CRM: Ensure the cleanliness and efficiency of the Salesflow in Engage
  • Meeting Quota Targets: Take ownership of meeting set targets, including the number of qualified opportunities, the value of the sales pipeline, and overall revenue
  • Developing New Opportunities: Cultivate new business possibilities from untapped greenfield accounts. 
  • Target Account Identification: Use a qualitative and data-driven approach to strategically identify target accounts with optimal timing and strong use cases
  • Collaboration with Marketing and Technical Sales: Work alongside the marketing, sales and technical sales teams to create effective sales campaigns
  • Generating Brand Awareness: Actively engage with key decision-makers and technical staff through social platforms to increase brand visibility
  • Active Role in Process Improvement: Play a proactive role in shaping and refining team processes through your active involvement

Requirements: 

  • Networking and Communication:  Proven ability to connect and communicate effectively with key decision-makers and technical personnel through various social platforms
  • Lead Generation Expertise: Demonstrated skill in identifying and cultivating potential leads that contribute to business growth. 
  • Sales Collaboration: Ability to work closely with prospects to secure bookings for technical demos, facilitating the creation of new business opportunities for the Inside Sales team
  • CRM Management: Proficiency in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of salesflows in Engage
  • Goal-Oriented Performance: Track record of consistently meeting and exceeding set targets, including those related to qualified opportunities, sales pipeline value, and revenue
  • Business Development Acumen: Experience in developing fresh business prospects from previously unexplored greenfield accounts
  • Strategic Account Identification: Utilization of qualitative and data-driven methods to strategically identify target accounts, focusing on optimal timing and strong use cases
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborative approach to working with marketing and technical sales teams to devise and implement impactful sales campaigns
  • Process Improvement Mindset: Active participation in the enhancement and iteration of team processes, contributing to overall efficiency and effectiveness

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • 1-2 years of Sales Experience preferred
  • Strong passion for sales
  • Energetic and proactive attitude
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Prior experience in a value-added reseller or distributor setting
  • Proficient in CRM tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Exchange, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Work Location:

  • This position is Remote First. Most job duties can be performed remotely from your residence. Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time.
