An outgoing introvert with over 20 years of experience in automation, most recently integrating SolarWinds software with other products already owned by the customer. The programming languages and technologies vary, but the constant is the connection with the stakeholders, making sure that at the end of the day they’re happy with what we’ve produced together. Just as comfortable working with management as the engineer in the trenches, every engagement is an opportunity to try, fail, and try again, taking the wins and propagating them by tweet, blog, or classroom.
Living in the Pacific Northwest since 2001, married to the amazing Kayla Klassen, and regularly making SolarWinds software do our clients’ bidding on behalf Loop1.
He enjoys learning new programming languages, technologies, APIs, and just about anything else. Currently most work done in PowerShell, C#, and Python with a little shell scripting as needed. His very favorite thing to do is breaking down a technical concept into easy-to-learn bits by spinning analogies.Like many, Steve listens to music while he works, and that usually consists of whatever the Biebs has put out recently along with anything and everything written between ’84 and ’95.
I am an enthusiastic, outgoing, self-driven and professional individual who thrives on new, exciting challenges and hard work. An all-round engineer providing remote and onsite support consultancy of all Solarwinds products. I have years of experience working with clients at varying sizes of companies and in varying industries with their SolarWinds deployments. This includes installation, configuration, consulting, troubleshooting, system design, support and training. I have achieved all available SolarWinds certifications, and will continue to learn and certify as new exams become available.
Lorenzo Brizeno has spent over 29 years in the IT world, growing and changing with it daily. Ten of those years were with SolarWinds in support initially, and then advancing to become a Sales Engineer. In 2019, he and his family moved to Cedar Park, Tx, and joined the Loop1 family as a Technical Trainer, deciding to put to good use his talent for spreading knowledge.
Lorenzo’s background in teaching is varied, from teaching many individuals how to Salsa dance, to teaching other IT professionals how to make practical use of software in their environment. He has a total of 12 years in instructional training and his new daughter is currently adding to his skill set.
In his spare time, Lorenzo enjoys catching up on the latest football stats, traveling as often as he can, dancing with his wife, and watching his daughter grow and change daily. He is excited to continue to progress in the education field at Loop1 and is continually searching for ways to help spread knowledge in an effective and enjoyable way. He currently holds 5 SCP’s and working on the next one.
I am excited to now be part of Loop1 working on truly Global solutions for our clients, these include the SolarWinds suite of products, Cisco Collaboration and Cloud Solutions.
For 14 years previously I was privileged to work for Telstra Corporation, where I have worked my way up the ranks to become a Senior Solutions Architect responsible for designs, costing and implementation for the corporate network. This includes Communications Room, Network Infrastructure, Server and Storage, Telecommunications and Collaboration, Teleconferencing, User Computing and Office Relocation.
Throughout my time at Telstra, I became skilled in the following technologies/programs:
I love being a part of my work community, and my ability to develop strong rapports within these settings has led to many successes over the years.
I also enjoy traveling, particularly immersing myself in different cultures. I was lucky enough to spend some time volunteering in a school in Indonesia while on a business trip to Jakarta and look forward to doing more of this.
I have a genuine passion for what I do and am always interested in hearing from colleagues, clients or just other like-minded professionals. Feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.”
The whole of my working career has been focused on network and system Management and Monitoring often within secured environments. Around 20 years ago I was given a copy of the Solarwinds Engineer’s Toolkit and asked to assess it as a possible adjunct to my new employer’s monitoring software and the paths and fortunes of myself, Kenson (now Loop1 UK) and Solarwinds have been intertwined ever since.
I have a background in Training and Development, with a post-graduate award from Cambridge University and Fellowship of the LPI, a collector’s mentality, hence the 8 current SCPs and an evangelist’s zeal for implementing consistent, accurate and effective system monitoring following ITIL guidelines. A typical week consists of 50% end-user Training and 50% consultancy for clients of all sizes and in all sectors plus a healthy portion of support for the pre-sales and marketing departments including frequent participation in Trade Shows and Conferences where I can stretch an analogy to its breaking point.
Anthony Bettanin is the COO of Loop1, joining through the acquisition of Xlate Group, where he was CEO and Chairman. Anthony started his enterprise software career at SoftLaw (later called RuleBurst and Haley), an entrepreneurial Australian IT startup that developed an innovative AI product now called Oracle Intelligent Advisor. After a decade working across Australia and the UK in a wide variety of leadership roles including consulting, architecture, product strategy, presales and sales, Anthony became Chief Legal Officer and ran the due diligence for the acquisition by Oracle. Over the next seven years with Oracle Intelligent Advisor, Anthony established a global partner network and ran the Asia Pacific sales team, making it Oracle’s most successful SaaS product in the region. Anthony has degrees in both Computer Science and Law. He has taught IT Law courses at the Australian National University and King’s College London. Anthony is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Luke spent many years in Executive IT for both private and federal roles ultimately ending up as the DCIO at one of Australia’s largest technology shops. In all these years he was responsible for managing and delivering national technology services for major Contact Centers, Branch Offices, Online Services and managed multiple IT teams of more than 900 staff. But all that really means is that he has been the customer and has spent almost his entire career on the consumer side of IT . He has seen it all. Great projects, lousy projects … and of course … the ones we don’t speak about. Well… all that is in the past. Now he focuses on making sure that Loop1 listens, works with you, understands the challenges and delivers, he has sat where you have sat and understands.
An accomplished engineer with a gift for translating technical concepts into plain English and a sharp business sense, Bill Fitzpatrick is building on the success of Loop1 Systems to execute an ambitious vision for the future. Bill co-founded Loop1 Systems, a SolarWinds Authorized Partner, in 2009. He played an integral role in building the nearly 10-year-old business into what is today, a bustling, Austin-based company counting more than 200 of the Fortune 500 as clients. In the summer of 2017, Bill assumed full ownership of Loop1 Systems and has since laser-focused on one simple goal: to bring the truth to light for each Loop1 client.
Marispy comes from a diverse background of marketing, sales, business, and fitness, among other things, and even worked for a short time as a computer systems administrator for Loop1. When she and Bill bought out Loop1’s partner in 2017, Marispy decided it was time to step into an expanded role leading marketing and operational initiatives and discovering process improvements. Marispy eventually wants to become the “hub of the human side” of Loop1. Unofficially, she fulfills multiple roles, including finding unexpected ways to boost employee happiness. She’s particularly interested in building upon the Loop1 Cares program, which supports charitable causes important to employees.
