L1M3 SERVICES SECURE NOC Secure Network Operations Center
Enabling secure, insightful observability
over your IT investments
The job of the technology professional is hard. Network management and performance monitoring have never been harder to tackle. Today’s organizations are dealing with increasingly complex networks – with offices that span the globe, employees working remotely and an increasingly vast number of devices to monitor and manage. Efficient proactive monitoring can prevent network and application downtime and critical failures.

Proactive Observability over your ICT Investments
Here at Loop1, we developed our Proactive L1M3 Services packages to help our clients effectively monitor and manage their SolarWinds environment—leading to insightful, mature ITOM solutions where data is informing forecasts and budgets, leading to positive impacts on financial outcomes, and enlightened long-term strategic planning, Our clients trust us to ensure their SolarWinds investment is reflecting their business back to them 24x7x365. When you partner with our Managed Services team, our expert engineers will work with you to understand your monitoring requirements and build out a roadmap to drive more business value.
Over the years our clients have asked us to come up with a secure way of remotely connecting unattended to their environment. This led to us developing our Secure Network Operations Center (NOC). Let the Loop1 engineering experts configure and manage your SolarWinds platform so your team can get back to doing what they do best, serving their clients.
Our Secure NOC was built to enable our global engineering team to securely login via a trusted path to only the business technology (in this case, SolarWinds) our clients’ wish to expose. A proactive approach to monitoring leveraging the Secure NOC reduces the noise, and creates a partnership built on trusted business outcomes.

24x7x365
proactive observability and management of your tech stack
Cloud hosted Secure NOC
Loop1 has a team of globally distributed engineers performing 24x7x365 observability and management of our clients’ environments. To facilitate this, we require a secure persistent, connection through a single-entry point designed to scale economically without security compromise or impacting our ability to execute against our contractual obligations. To achieve this, we have developed a cloud hosted secure Network Operations Center where our engineers connect to our clients through a gated, hyper secure cloud network infrastructure.

Restricted Access to In-Scope Architecture
Loop1 ensures that our engineering staff access via the Secure NOC is limited only to the in-scope infrastructure required to deliver the service. We do this by using firewall rules to limit access to specific IP addresses and ports required for Loop1 engineering to deliver the service infrastructure.
Configuration Item | Special Notes |
Client Orion Core Server(s) | DNS Name & IP Address |
Client Orion Database Server(s) | DNS Name & IP Address |
Appropriate Port Access to this Infrastructure | Allowed inbound access to these CIs on TCP Port 443 and 3389 to RDP when needed |
Example: SolarWinds Orion access requirements
Security Gates
Loop1 uses several security gates to ensure that the user is verified successfully at the time of authentication before providing access to the platform.
All devices and infrastructure leveraged by Loop1 to access the Client published infrastructure are protected and actively monitored by Sophos’s Advanced Managed Threat Response Security Operation Center (Sophos SOC).

Loop1 Secure NOC Architecture

Need an alternative L1M3 Services delivery platform to the Loop1 Secure NOC?

Introducing NetFoundry Network-as-a-Service
We recognize that for some clients, the Loop1 Secure NOC may not be a viable option. Here at Loop1, it is the recommended service delivery path for our L1M3 Services clients; but where this isn’t possible, our preferred alternative, particularly in deference to a client-provided VPN, would be a NetFoundry’s Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform.
VPN’s just don’t cut it anymore—they’re inefficient, complex to manage, and introduce significant security risks. With NetFoundry’s Network-as-a-Service platform, you immediately solve these VPN problems with zero trust networking.’
Loop1 and NetFoundry will establish a Loop1-to-Client private dark zero-trust network, providing a platform for secure remote asynchronous access for the ongoing, proactive management of your SolarWinds platform.
Let’s get Technical
If Loop1 uses NetFoundry to provide our services securely and remotely, this is what it looks like at a 50,000-foot view.
