Loop1 Cares is a charitable initiative launched by Loop1 that focuses on supporting communities through philanthropic activities such as volunteering, fundraising, and charitable donations. While the program’s primary goal is to help others, Loop1 also recognizes that its employees benefit from these activities by developing new skills, building relationships, and gaining a sense of purpose and fulfillment. As President of the Cares Committee in the APJ region at Loop1, leading a dedicated team, I focus on creating a fulfilling work environment. The committee implements initiatives promoting employee well-being, work-life balance, and personal growth. I also emphasise giving back to the community, organising fundraisers, engaging in community service, and supporting local charities. Apeksha Cancer Hospital Medicine Donation Drive Sri Lanka
Loop1 Sri Lankan Cares embarked on a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project to support Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Sri Lanka. The project aimed to donate essential vaccines to save a leukemia patient and provide urgent medicines for cancer patients. To achieve this, employees from Loop1’s NA, EMEA, and APJ regions generously contributed funds.
This CSR initiative reflects Loop1’s commitment to making a positive impact on the communities it serves. Through the collective efforts of employees, the project successfully delivered essential medical support to individuals battling cancer, demonstrating the power of unity and compassion. Loop1 is deeply grateful for the support and kindness of its team members, underscoring the company’s dedication to making a meaningful difference in the world.
Dhammaloka Maha Vidyalaya CSR Project Sri Lanka
Loop1 Cares launched a school resources donation initiative to support a rural school. The program aimed to collect various school supplies, such as pens, pencils, erasers, and rulers, from donors and distribute them to the school. By providing these resources, the initiative aimed to promote academic success and empower students to achieve their full potential. The program reflects Loop1’s commitment to improving access to education in underserved communities.
Loop1's UK Team Inspires Through Blood Donation and Selfless Giving
Loop1’s UK team has demonstrated the core value of doing the right thing through their participation in Loop1’s Cares Initiative. Some of the team members took the time to donate blood, which is a life-saving act that provides support to both individuals with long-term treatments and those in need of emergency attention. We commend the team members, namely Glen Kershaw, Denise Bailey, Phoebe Coleman, and Jasmine Candlish, for their selfless act of giving, which can have a positive impact on society. Being a central part of our society, donating blood plays a significant role in helping people who are sick or injured and giving them a chance to recover. Overall, the UK team’s participation in Loop1’s Cares Initiative sets an excellent example for others to follow in helping their communities.
