The ITOM Engineer Level I position involves providing remote support and consultative services for SolarWinds products, with a focus on monitoring, managing, and maintaining SolarWinds Orion and associated products. This role requires proactive and reactive support for SolarWinds network infrastructure, servers, and services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalating issues as necessary. Essential job functions include performing system analyses, suggesting improvements, coordinating upgrades, and collaborating with various technical teams. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with familiarity with monitoring platforms and ITIL framework, are required. Preferred qualifications include certifications, technical training experience, and knowledge of SQL administration and network concepts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Less than 2 years of experience (global service delivery – Microsoft Windows Server, Cisco, Tech support, MSP)
  • Hands-on technical skills in network/cloud monitoring platforms and various technologies
  • Resourceful team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and ticketing/monitoring tools
  • Experience in documentation and problem management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • ITIL Foundation Certified
  • Willingness to obtain SolarWinds certifications
  • Knowledge of SQL administration and T-SQL queries
  • Familiarity with IIS Servers, Windows Servers, VMware, Nutanix, Azure, and AWS
  • Previous technical training experience
  • Familiarity with network concepts and basic tools
